This Request for Proposals is an invitation by the City of Peterborough to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Development of a Traffic Calming Policy and Completion of Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Studies.  
 

The purpose of this project is to: 

1. 
   1. Develop a traffic calming policy which utilizes a set of criteria to determine if traffic calming would be suitable for an area and outlines a process for developing a neighbourhood traffic calming plan; 
   2. Develop a “toolkit” of traffic calming strategies, devices and designs that can be applied in different contexts to address various identified issues; and 
   3. Pilot the new processes and tools by developing at least five neighbourhood traffic calming studies in various locations across the City.
