This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the City of Peterborough (the “City”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for ITT-018-19, as further described in Section D.1 of the ITT Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). For purposes of this ITT, the successful Bidder shall be referred to as the Contractor. This ITT covers shoring, earth excavation, grading, storm sewer, box culvert, outlet structure, George Street bridge repairs, water main, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, streetlighting and road reconstruction as shown in the enclosed drawings for work on Townsend Street and George Street North as well as the City owned property at 127 George Street North. This ITT represents the first of two contracts for the implementation of the Jackson Creek Flood Diversion sewer project. This ITT implements the outlet works for the Jackson Creek Flood Diversion sewer project. Contract 2 will implement the construction of the remaining flood diversion sewer work that extends from the contract limits of Contract 1, vicinity of George and Townsend Streets on Townsend Street to Bethune Street and in addition, Bethune Street from Townsend Street to the Trans-Canada Trail at Jackson Creek, Bethune Street and Murray Street, inclusive of the inlet structure at Jackson Creek. Contract 2 also includes the replacement of the existing Trunk Sanitary Sewer extending from the Rotary Greenway Trail at Dublin Street, traversing Bethune Street to Dalhousie Street, as well, comprising the reconstruction of Bethune Street. As of the date of this ITT, the City is in the process of obtaining permits from the following agencies/ministries: a. the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority; b. Parks Canada (aka Trent-Sevren Waterway); and c. the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks As of the date of this ITT, the City is not aware of any other permits required for the scope of work proposed in this Contract. The City reserves the right to not award the ITT until these permits have been obtained. |
